you need a lot more artifacts, but its fun going for artifacts when you are filling in for a big cast and not killing yourself to improve some substatĭ. it's interesting to try balancing things out character wise and element wise (ie moving kazuha off international team so he can help elsewhere)Ĭ. you are forced to play and care for unused characters, for me that's candace, rosaria, jean, kaiya, xinyanī. (Not 15 because I need to keep the first party for friendship and the last party for speedy overworld)Ī. Without needing character strength and no plans to pull and entering a likely downer patch, I've been working on setting up my parties as 13 separate groups with unique chars, unique artifacts, and weaps - like facing a 13 sided abyss, so they need to be real parties with healing or shielding and strength6. I ended up liking the cooking event more than expected, the gameplay was minimal but seeing all these voiced cameos from around tevyat was delightful and very charming, i like this trend of smaller events with plenty of voiced characters, keep it up mihoyo, i have also noticed an improvement in dialoge cutscene animation quality, better facial animation and some fun camera work since chenyu vale released, i hope they keep going in that direction in the future. I have avoided 36 starting the abyss for a while because of the damned rnglord wenut, it's just so annoying to fight i didn't even want to try, but since this is the last iteration of this abyss i decided to do a full run, turns out my Yae, Baizhu, Kazuha and Neuvillette was perfect for it, the combination of range and the ability to output large amount of damage very quickly made it surprisingly less annoying than had expected it to be, the damned robochiken gave me more grief weirdly enough, i use it as my test dummy in the world map and it is so trivial there i never expected much from that fight, but that fucker instantly took flight and spent the entire fight just backing away from me, and it popped it's elemental resistance shenanigans really early, i only cleared it with seconds left because i kept forcing me to chase it constantly, but i got there in the end. And that's fine, it's just a bit of a shame. I still read this thread every day, but I don't post because I have nothing to add.Īnd even when I am critical, I try to be even-handed, but for some it's not enough. They're still great, but I think they need to supplemented by other stuff.īut I've long since accepted the game is a casual experience and they aren't interested in doing that. I'm also at a point where new areas aren't enough to hold my interest like they were a year ago. And I think they could stand to be more generous. While I can separate out the artistry of the world and its production, from the world's role as a primo-dispenser, I think in reality, they are linked. Though I do think Fontaine is a low point for me personally, and I found the deserts of Sumeru far more engaging. I've been very critical of the game's events, the lack of replayable content, endgame, meaningful QoL features and more, but the team continue to deliver quality new areas to explore. And while I adore the world, it is also a piñata, full of currency to pull characters. It's a very special game to me and the world of a Teyvat, along with its characters, is a massive part of that.īut I also think the game is very stingy, breaking up its rewards into tiny portions to smatter across the open world. The intricate world design, the excellent environmental art, the warm and inviting music… some of the world quests, when they aren't talking my ear off (though not voiced!). Supported Systems: Windows 10, Windows 8.Absolutely - that's why I've spent 1,300 hours in the game, 100%'ed every region bar Fontaine and done all but a handful of side quests.
